In mid-November, St. Nicks loaded up a couple vans and headed north for an exhibition game against Trinity College in Hartford, CT. The Nicks came out strong in the first period (uncharacteristically) and were able to build a 4-1 lead before two late Bantam goals. After trading three goals apiece in the second, the Nicks battened down the hatches in the third period (characteristically), securing the 9-7 win. Dave Watters (Harvard ’08) led the way with two goals and three assists, while Bobby Burns (Yale ’07) chipped in a goal and three assists. Rookie P.O. Michaud (Harvard ’11) scored two goals and added and an assist in his Nicks debut. Nicks alumnus and former Trinity coach John Dunham (Brown ‘65) was instrumental in setting up the contest. We hope to continue the tradition with new Bantam coach Matt Greason.
