ST. NICKS ENDS 2002 WITH VICTORY

December 30, 2002 - St. Nicks (4-2-0) played a solid game against Army yesterday and prevailed by one goal in a tight game from start to finish. Army led 2-1 at the end of the first period, but St. Nicks outscored Army 2-1 in the second and so the teams were tied going into the final period. St. Nicks, led by Terry Morris, scored the only goal in the third period for the 4-3 victory. Morris scored the tying goal on a wrist shot with three and a half minutes left in the second period, scored the winning goal on an impressive solo effort five minutes into the third and added two assists for a four point game. St. Nicks won four of its six games in the first half of the season and now moves on to 2003 with three games in January, against Beacon Hill Club on January 11 and the Jackson Hole Moose on January 17 and 18. St. Nicks defeated Beacon Hill Club last season and swept the Moose in a weekend series the season before last.
