St. Nicks Sweeps for 2nd Title In a Row

April 7, 2003 - St. Nicks (10-4-0) captured its 15th USA Hockey National Championship yesterday, defeating Bloomington, Minnesota Buck's Furniture 5-4 in overtime. It is the second year in a row that the Nicks won the Elite Division national championship in overtime, this time overcoming an early 3-0 deficit. To qualify for the title game, St. Nicks was flawless, with qualifying round victories over Bloomington, the 2002 runner-up Texarkana Bandits and a new team from Wisconsin.
